C8 Corvette Stingray Z06 ERay ZR1 GS HTC Convertible Clear Engine Bay Fast Access Covers

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION AND USE WARNING:  Do not use glass cleaner, alcohol or other chemicals on the acrylic windows. Remove the covers if removing the engine bay cover and when washing the engine bay to avoid damage and clean with a soft detailing cloth.  Do not wipe when dry to scratches - always use Novus or another acrylic safe eyeglasses cleaning product that is alcohol free.

Molded from the OEM C8 Corvette HTC engine bay cover, this clear thermal plastic material allows you to see your 6.2L or 5.5L motor oil caps and Coolant caps when your top is up.  This is the ultimate show car accessory for the C8 HTC. Utilizes stock service covers, hardware and now includes a rubber seal & grommets! Now you can show off that engine bay and add dress up accessories such as our Engine Cover, Billet Bars and even Oil and Coolant dress up caps. 

Thermal plastics are engineering plastics in that they are typically used for more capable, robust materials such as in impact resistant glass-like surfaces. So you can be sure this will last on your C8 HTC. 

Please Note: This piece is not glass, it will not be optically perfect like glass though it is fully transparent. 

Installation

Start by removing the engine bay cover from the car. Remove the rubber seals and the metal hinges from the engine cover using a 10mm socket.  Fill the 4 bolt holes with the rubber plugs provided in the installation kit. Before proceeding or removing the VHB adhesive tape backing, place the seals on the open holes to get a sense of placement and positioning. Do not place the oil cover too close to the back of the hole/center of the car - use the outside edge and place just inside the lip - this will prevent the back of the Fast Access Cover it from rubbing on the engine bay cover.

Use the alcohol preps to thoroughly clean the mounting area around the coolant and oil seal holes.  Allow to dry 1 minute. Once dry, apply adhesion promoter to the mounting area around the perimeter of the coolant and oil seal holes. Allow to dry 1 minute.  Remove the VHB acrylic tape backing and center the covers over the holes, pressing down firmly.  Lift the top bezel off to expose the black mounting ring. Press down on the black mounting ring down all the way around to ensure good adhesion and full contact is made. Reinstall the engine bay cover. Snap on your new C8 Corvette HTC Fast Access Covers and head to your nearest car show!

Fitment

This product will fit all 2020+ C8 Corvette Hard Top Convertibles (HTCs) - Stingray, Z51, Z06, E-Ray, Grand Sport, Grand Sport X, ZR1 and ZR1X. Does NOT fit the C8 Coupe model.

Anodized Finish

While we use the highest quality dyes and anodizing processes, all anodized parts are susceptible to color fade from exposure to UV light, heat and cleaners over time. To maintain the vibrant color of your anodized parts as long as possible, minimize long term direct sunlight exposure with garage storage, car covers and coating the products with a UV inhibiting SiO2 and graphene ceramic spray coating after washing and on a regular detailing cycle. This will also help keep the product clean and avoid mineral deposits and water spots. Do not use chemical or acid based cleaners on anodized parts.
