The difference is more than just size. A 4.5” downpipe has roughly 15.90 square inches of cross-sectional area. A 5” downpipe has roughly 19.63 square inches. Our 6” design provides roughly 28.27 square inches of area, giving it about 44% more flow area than a 5” downpipe and about 78% more flow area than a 4.5” downpipe.
